Our eyes do not tell us what we are seeing, it is our brains that do this. Once the brain has seen an object and named it, it is categorised and fixed. This eventually becomes a habit and an assumption which the brain applies to everything the eye sees.
We all know the internet is not an ideal place to view art. One of the reasons for this is there is no agreement between computer companies about the monitor/screen calibration of your pc, laptop or phone this makes viewing art on the internet very difficult.
The statements below each painting are not titles they are indications of what I was thinking about and what inspired the painting.
I always have one thing in mind when I work: keep it simple. Simple is always the best and often the most difficult.
